Gallet Watch Company, the leading pioneer in motorsports timekeeping for over 100 years, will serve as a major sponsor of the 16th Annual Hilton Head Motoring Festival and Concours d’Elegance on November 4 and 5, 2017.
A Perfect Fit:
As the pioneer of the world’s first true wrist-worn chronograph and the first watchmaker to produce wristwatches for the larger market, the Gallet legacy goes all the way back to the 15th century. Beginning in the late 19th century, the company’s unsurpassed devotion to function and accuracy made Gallet’s extraordinary Swiss stopwatches and chronographs the first choice for race car drivers, track officials, and fans alike.
“Our timepieces are more than a watch – they’re an instrument of the highest quality, a race timekeeper with a history of unparalleled durability and accuracy,” explains David R. Laurence, Managing Director for Gallet International. “Our long history as the original timekeeper since man first began competing in motorized vehicles makes serving as a sponsor for the Hilton Head Motoring Festival and Concours d’Elegance a perfect fit.”
During the festival, Gallet Watch Company will showcase its groundbreaking Heritage Edition auto racing wristwatch – the culmination of numerous years and millions of dollars spent to develop the world’s best motorsports chronograph. Considered as the finest, most durable and accurate mechanical wristwatch for anything automotive, the new Heritage Edition will be available for “test drives” during the event.
Onsite and mingling on Saturday and Sunday will be David R. Laurence, as well as Walter Hediger, Gallet International’s Swiss chairman.
